What I’ve Been Reading:
More by Jamie Farrell/Pippa Grant.
The Officers’ Ex-Wives Club (#1-2)
Her Rebel Heart

This sexy military pilot is about to meet his match in an unpredictable former beauty queen!
Kaci Boudreaux is every Southern mama’s nightmare, including her own. This former Miss Grits would rather tromp around in boots shooting off potato guns—and her mouth—than dress pretty and play nice with the boys. Especially her chauvinistic fellow professors, her ex-husband, and those military cargo pilots she’s at war with after a pumpkin chunkin’ disaster.
Lance Wheeler is every Southern belle’s dream, except his ex-fiancé’s. After being left at the altar, he’d love to take his C-130 and fly far, far away. But since he and his bird technically belong to Uncle Sam, a distraction in the form of a feisty fireball of a physics professor will do while he’s waiting for his next deployment with the Air Force.
He’s into her for the fun. She’s into him for the challenge. But when their secrets and fears start slipping out, their hearts—and even her job—will be on the line. She needs roots. He wants to see the world. What will they do about needing each other?
New Works By Previous Guests:
New from Aaron Rosenberg, a new addition to his Eldros Legacy world. Book 12 in the world, book 2 of The Areyat Isles books
Stealing the Storms (The Areyat Isles #2)

Missing mages, rapacious pirates, deadly storms—and a pair of young adventurers stuck in the middle…
Sundra Aruvar and his “brother” Ruhi Naidu have thus far survived being captured and indentured by pirates. In fact, after catching the culprit who murdered two pirate lords, the pair are thriving.
That is, until one of the pirate lords assigns them a new task. Her weather mage, a member of the tight-knit thalakurioi, has gone missing. And she wants Sundra and Ruhi to find out what happened.
Doing so will send them far from the pirate capital of Surpakat, all across the Areyat Isles. They’ll make new friends—and new enemies—and discover a whole new level to this strange pirate society.
But, in the end, can they survive this mystery? Because mages are a dangerous lot—and someone doesn’t want the missing ones found!
The second in the Areyat Isles series of fantasy pirate mystery adventures set within the world of Eldros Legacy!
And, new from Abigail Manning‘s Once Upon a Rhyme series!
Little Bo Sneak (#2)
What if Little Bo Peep, had a skill for catching crooks?

Lady Genevieve Rayelle Palleep loves to point out what no one else notices, which makes it a tad difficult to get along with most suitors. While tracking down details may not be beneficial for her life as a lady, it certainly has uses in her more secretive life. Since being recruited as a crown agent as a child, Evie’s talents have never failed to hunt down black market goods, runaway convicts, or anything else one could imagine… That is, until her next mission bears an interesting request.
When eight magic-fused wool cloaks go missing from the black market, the agency doesn’t feel that Evie can handle the task alone. Much to Evie’s regret, she’s assigned her very first partner, an obnoxiously attractive agent by the name of Shepherd. He wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t have to go undercover as courting lovers… or if he wasn’t so perfect.
With her new partner in tow, and a mysterious stack of cloaks ready to be found, Evie is determined to prove she never needed Shep’s help from the start. She’s worked too hard to let another man drag her around like a wandering sheep. Will Evie be able to track down the missing wools? Or will her distrust of her partner leave them both lost?
Picture(s) of the Week:
Sako and I road tripped for the 3rd year in a row, from my lair in Northern Virginia, through the mountains of West Virginia, to Imaginarium 10 in Louisville, Kentucky. We drove through heavy thunderstorms and more, but made it safe and sound in just over 9 hours. Clear skies welcomed us and we went stretched out legs and went to check in.
