  • Don’t Self-Publish That Book 6 Minutes After You Finish Drafting It!Recently, I was celebrating the anniversary of the time I finished rough drafting my first full manuscript, and a friend told me that I’d lost 8 years of royalties and should really finish it! He was trying to be encouraging and supportive, but instead, all I really have is a pile of justifications. Now, I’m not saying you should wait as long as I have before putting your book out into the world, but there are a few reasons why you might wait before publishing.

  • Accessible MagicIn a lot of fantasy and science-fiction, they wave their hands and make magic or tech the “solution” to all disabilities. Let’s explore ways to use magic for accessibility and ways people with different abilities could be better integrated into these stories.

Not My Kind of Hero

I knew fixing up my life with a fresh start on the hobby ranch I inherited in Hell’s Bells, Wyoming, would come with challenges. Things like snow. Wildlife. Local gossip about why my daughter and I are here. But the biggest challenge? My surly new tenant.

He’s like a bear. Fascinating from a distance, but don’t get too close, or he’ll bite. His personality should be a good thing. I have no need of a new man in my life. But he’s not only my tenant; he’s also my daughter’s math teacher and soccer coach. I keep running into him. He keeps thinking I need to be saved.

Maybe I do, but here’s what I don’t expect: he’s a fixer-upper in need of saving too. And I might be the only woman for the job. Hell’s Bells, help me.

Boss Me Around (The McGuire Brothers #3)

Christian McGuire is the last person I should be asking to boss me around in bed. Sure, he’s a bonafide Sex God, but he’s also my co-worker AND my shiny new brother-in-law. But after a few too many tequila shots one night, I shoot him a text, asking him to be my smut mentor.

As soon as I sober up, I’m MORTIFIED, of course. I try to steal his cell phone and destroy the evidence, only to find I’m too late. Christian has already read my message. Even worse? He wants no part in helping me ditch my ancient virginity.

That is, unless I agree to a few rules…

New Works By Previous Guests:

New, from Abigail Manning:

The Shadow Realm (Retold Halloween Tales)

The Silver Shadow Ball is the event of the year in the kingdom of Umbria, filled with dancing, flaunting nobles, and, of course, romance.

A princess and her two noble friends are counting the minutes until the party and have been stringing along as many potential dates as possible. However, things go too far when they offend one man in particular. After being refused and insulted by the princess and her friends, the young enchanter places a curse on each girl as punishment.

With each curse being different from the next, the clues to cure them leave more questions than answers. As the air chills and the leaves fall, one girl is forced to flee her home out of fear of being seen as the ghost she is—or not being seen, that is. Another remains home with the constant threat of pain each time her body turns her as fake as her words. As for the princess, she’d rather die than concede to her curse’s wishes… not that she’s truly living, anyway.

Can the enchanter’s curses be broken? Or will they forever be forced to hide in the shadows? As questionable allies are made and pumpkins are carved, it might be best to keep one’s heart left in the dark.
