What I’ve Been Reading:
Shocking no one, with this week’s subject, I’ve been beta reading this week.
New Works By Previous Guests:
New from Kelly Brakenhoff, a standalone Cassandra Soto Mystery novella, just in time for the holiday. And from Abigail Manning, another of her YA Romance novella retellings in her The Shattered Tales series.
Halloween Hustle

Cassandra Sato always goes the extra mile for her job.
Even when pushed out of her comfort zone to join the Halloween Hustle 5K charity fun run. But when a training run takes an unexpected turn, and a body is discovered, she finds out that small-town conflicts can be deadly. Cassandra and her friends are in a race against time to identify the killer. Can Cassandra put the pieces together before she is permanently disqualified?
Get ready for a spine-chilling race to the finish line that promises thrills and chills around every corner.
To Shatter a Slipper
What if the glass slipper fit the wrong girl?

Kirsi Allerednic was never one to enjoy balls, corsets, or fake smiles. She would much rather chat with the charming servant, Caden, than catch the eye of a prince who is already far more interested in a girl with glass slippers. However, her father insists Kirsi takes every opportunity to elevate her status, even when that opportunity comes in the form of a conveniently sized shoe.
When Kirsi discovers she fits the slipper of the prince’s proclaimed love, her father doesn’t hesitate to take advantage of the mistake. Kirsi could always confess that she never met the prince, but her father has threatened to destroy Caden’s life if she dares speak the truth. To protect the ones she loves, Kirsi must steal the life of a nameless girl. It shouldn’t be too difficult to mirror a girl the prince barely knows… unless a mysterious godmother has something to say about it.
Will Kirsi be able to escape what her sole has bound her to? Or will she be forced to steal another’s happily ever after?
