Content Around The Web:

On Youtube:

On the Podcast “Writing Tips and Writerly Musings”:

  • Tips on Writing Characters with Agency – One thing you hear about a lot when you start sending your manuscript out into the world is ‘agency’. Most agents (and publishers) are looking for characters who make things happen, not ones who merely react to the situation they’re stuck with.

It’s okay to start off with a character with minimal agency, but most readers want to see the characters come into their own.

On The Blog (In Case You Missed It):

None this week.

Here’s one of the lovely european false-dogwoods in my backyard. All of the pretty, none of the smell. Does that make me a bad Virginian for preferring this? (Our state tree AND flower are the Dogwood).

May be an image of flower and nature
