New Works By Previous Guests:
Several of my previous author spotlight guests had new books launched this week!
From Jessica Lewis,
Monstrous

Forced to spend her summer in her aunt’s strange small town, a teen girl discovers dark secrets hidden in the woods. From the author of Bad Witch Burning comes another pulse-pounding novel perfect for fans of Supernatural and Lovecraft Country.
Don’t go outside past dark. Come straight home after church. And above all—never, ever, go into Red Wood.
These are the rules Latavia’s aunt gives her when Latavia arrives in Sanctum, Alabama for the summer. Though, weird as they are, living in Sanctum does have its pros. Mainly, the cute girl who works at the local ice cream shop.
But Sanctum is turning out to be as strange as the rules—and the longer Latavia’s in town, the more suspicious she is that the people there are hiding something. And the more clear it is that she’s an outsider. Everyone’s nice enough, but they seem determined to prove everything is normal.
But it’s not. Because there’s something in Red Wood that the towns’ people are hiding. And if Latavia doesn’t follow her aunt’s rules, she might not be able to leave Sanctum. Ever…
From Amanda Murratoff, book 11 of the Pantracia Chronicles/Book 1 of the Vanguard Legacy.
Daughter of the Stolen Prince (#1 Vanguard Legacy)
As long as the Key sleeps, her daughter is free.

Ahria left home in search of her missing father, putting all the skills he taught her to the test. But when she stows away on a ship with her sailor boyfriend’s help—and gets caught—she ends up at the captain’s mercy.
Conrad’s love has always belonged to the sea, yet when Ahria is found on his ship and brought before him, an ember in his heart warms. But with the presence of another man and a quest that will take her far from a life at sea, getting close could be a mistake.
After Ahria has a slip of the tongue, a rival ship corners them, causing problems she can only guess at. In a drastic play, she tries to right her wrong, leaving both Conrad and her boyfriend scrambling to get her back.
From Cas E. Crowe, book 3 in her Wayward Haunt Series.
The Dark Divide (#3)

A girl with a morbid ability…Zaya faces a terrifying new reality.
Morgomoth has trapped her in a sleeping curse, and Zaya’s soul has been dragged into the nightmarish underworld of the Dark Divide—a place of endless, shifting tunnels filled with lost, raging ghosts. There is only one way out. A door that, if opened, will unleash the Dark Divide into the living world.
Morgomoth has given Zaya a choice. Open the door, join him and his evil forces, or remain trapped for eternity. Zaya must do the impossible. Escape from the Dark Divide, save Jad and her friends from Morgomoth’s horrors on the world, and learn to defeat him using necromancy. But it won’t come without sacrifices… or betrayal.

Ain’t Seen Muffin Yet (A Babe B. Bear Mystery)

You don’t want to know the muffin man…
Babe B. Bear, Rapunzel Hightower, and Notso Badwolf are back and their latest case is a doozy. A witch has hired them to stop people from eating her house-at least until they’re supposed to. She’s building the pastry cottage for wealthy clients so they can eat it at a party, but someone is stealing parts and gnawing on the chocolate windows.
The kid detectives are off to solve the case. Along the way, they have to help a couple of homeless kids named Hansel and Gretel while facing off against the Muffin Man and his dangerous gingerbread minions. Even worse, the police seem to think they’re the bad guys. Even if they solve the mystery, Babe still has to figure out how to stop his parents from grounding him and shutting down his treehouse detective agency forever.
Being a detective isn’t easy but these three kids are going to show everyone that when it comes to detectives…They ain’t seen muffin yet!
