Blogging, in text or video format, is a combination of journaling in public and screaming into the void. This is my thank you for being here.
These days, anyone can share their thoughts, their research, and their hopes with the world, but no one can make people listen.
The so-called experts have a lot to say about the dopamine and addiction of social media: the likes, the reshares, the comments. Especially for people like me with what I call Ariel-Syndrome, who want to be where the people are, no matter which platform it is. It’s definitely a form of trying to avoid FOMO – the fear of missing out.
But, it’s also a way to reach out, to know you’re not alone, and to find a connection. It’s a way to build communities and friendships. Thank you for keeping me from screaming into the void, or for being a part of the void I’m screaming into — whichever way works for you.
For all of those who celebrate the US November Thanksgiving, wishing you a happy holiday, and hoping everyone has a great Thursday.
Thanks for being here for us, too. This is a wonderful community to be part of. All of you on WordPress have reenergized my creativity in a way I didn’t think was possible, and I am eternally grateful to have you and know you’re out there for me.
