What I’ve Been Reading:

A bunch by Melanie Harlow.

Cloverleigh Farms Series

(from book 1) I’m a full-time single dad to three daughters and CFO at Cloverleigh Farms. I don’t have time to fall in love—I’m too busy trying to run a business, keep the red socks out of the white laundry, and get the damn pillowcases on without owing a dollar to the swear jar.

Sure, Frannie Sawyer is beautiful and sweet, but she’s twenty-seven, the boss’s daughter, and my new part-time nanny—which means she’s completely off-limits. It’s bad enough I can’t stop fantasizing about her, what kind of jerk would I be if I acted on the impulse to kiss her? (Exactly the kind of jerk you’re thinking.) Actually, I’m worse than that—because I didn’t stop with a kiss, and now I can’t stay away. She makes me feel like myself again. She reminds me what it’s like to want something just for me. She’s everything I ever needed, but nothing I ever imagined.

I’m a former Marine. I should have had the strength to resist her from the start. But I didn’t. And now I have to choose between the life I want and the life she deserves. Even if it means giving her up.

New Works By Previous Guests:

New from Patrick Thomas:

Bikini Jones Vs. The Sea Monsters

Bikini Jones has suffered from the magic curse that prevents her from wearing anything else but a two-piece bathing suit for over a decade. It hasn’t stopped her from saving the world on multiple occasions. Now a group has called for a boycott of her for what they call her immoral ways because of how she dresses.

At the same time, a sharkwoman has taken to the streets of Manhatten to avenge the surface people’s pollution that is killing her people’s children. And a cult of sea monsters is trying to destroy the world while the police chief of the NYPD is gunning for her.

Even with the help of her friends and her tentacled cousin, Cthulhu Jones, Bikini may be going under for the last time.

From Rebecca Mikkelson:

The Anatalian Throne (#3)

Margaret has returned to the capital in the hopes of officially gaining her father’s title and returning to their lands, where she can live in peace—but King Sorren has other plans for her. There is no escaping him, unless she can find someone’s protection to fall under.

Liam, unable to follow her to the capital to keep her safe, retreats to the only place he knows that Anatalian soldiers are not welcome: Salatia. There, he finds work and may finally hope to find happiness.

From Emily Huffman:

Shattered Worlds (#3)

What’s the point of being a hero if you can’t save the people you love?

All Blaine wants to do is stop the end of the world without losing another friend. But with the undead armies surging, Selenious struggling with the Lamentation of Magic, and Helm’s mages wreaking havoc, hoping for survival seems optimistic.

Their only hope is to retrieve the Goddess from the Rift. But the barrier grows weaker every day, and if Helm enters the mortal world before the Goddess returns, there may be no one left to save…
