Today marks the halfway point of the year. So, time to check in with my goals:
Yesterday, I participated in a Pitch Fest on Twitter. I tried 5 different pitches, but none of them appealed to the agents yesterday. It could just be that the right agent for me wasn’t there.
It was exciting to see how many different ways I could try to describe the same story.
What do you think of them? Which is your favorite?
Back in January, I set some goals for this year:
My Writing Goals This Year:
Finish 3rd re-write by MarchSend to Beta Reader(s) as soon as re-write is finished. With feedback, finish next rewrite before July.- After final rewrite, send to at least 3 publishers/agents
- Win NaNoWriMo (Write 50,000 words in November)
Make a blog post at least twice a month
I finished the 4th rewrite in May. Then, I edited it (making sure all the changes were coherent) and wrote a new ending. Last night, I started editing my new ending.
Tomorrow? Tomorrow starts Camp Nano where I’ve pledged to write basically a page a day. 10k words for the month. 322 words per page. This post is 210 words, not counting the 113 in the different pitches.
